Computershare Investor Services Pty Limited (Computershare) has been appointed as registrar for the Commonwealth Registry of Inscribed Stock on behalf of the Australian Government. These services include:
- transfer and registration of securities;
- maintenance of ownership records;
- distribution of interest payments and redemption proceeds at maturity; and
- a facility to allow small investors to sell their securities back to the Australian Government.
The encashment of bearer securities and bearer coupons is conducted by the RBA on behalf of the Australian Government.
