Department of The Treasury Press Release No. 4 of 2003 – Resignation of CEO of the AOFM
The Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Office of Financial Management (AOFM), Mr Michael Allen, has announced his intention to leave the organisation on 11 April. Mr Allen is departing the AOFM to accept the position of Deputy Treasurer at Telstra Corporation.
Mr Allen has made a valuable contribution to the AOFM over the last three years, playing a key role in its establishment, and overseeing the continued development of corporate governance and risk management frameworks within the agency. The staff of AOFM and members of the AOFM Advisory Board wish him well in his new endeavour.
A selection process to appoint a permanent replacement for the position of Chief Executive Officer will be commenced as soon as practical. In the interim, Mr Blair Comley will act as Chief Executive Officer. Mr Comley currently has responsibility for Commonwealth debt policy issues within the Department of the Treasury.
