ABSF Update – Second round of investments
On 29 January 2021, the AOFM issued an invitation to submit proposals for investment by the Australian Business Securitisation Fund (ABSF). Applications for this second round of investments closed on 31 March 2021. Sixteen proposals were received, of which one was found to be ineligible against the ABSF’s submission requirements and another proposal was found to be unsuitable for ABSF investment. Of the remaining fourteen proposals, the four highest ranking proposals have progressed to the stage of undergoing due diligence and credit assessment.
The other ten proposals continue to be assessed and further information has been sought from proponents to support this process. It is difficult to attach timing expectations as to when these assessments can be completed but the overall process remains an AOFM priority.
The AOFM will provide updates as in-principle investment approvals are determined.
