Investment Facility

Scope

In the past, the AOFM operated a facility for the investment of money held by the Australian government. The facility invested in a variety of Australian dollar denominated deposits and debt instruments. These included bank accepted bills, negotiable certificates of deposit and high credit quality debt securities.

Investment Facility Dealing Panel

The AOFM conducts its investment activity with the RBA and AOFM Investment Facility Panel Members.

Interested parties may apply to become a Panel Member. Approved applicants enter into a Panel Membership Agreement, which binds the Panel Member and the AOFM to the AOFM Investment Facility – Conditions of Panel Participation.

Reporting on Investment Holdings

A high level summary of investment holdings at the end of each month is updated on or before the fifth business day of each month (see 'End of Month Positions' then select 'Portfolio Aggregate').
